Sports Camp Tuesday: Beyond the Court

We took important time again today at Focus Sports Camp to talk about some other really important things that help us on and off the court. We took time to work on names and helped the kids get to know the other players and coaches better. In athletics, it's really important that a coach knows their players and the players know each other.
They need to build trust with everyone who's part of the team so they always have people they can turn to for help. The coach is also someone the players can turn to if they need help.

God is like a team's coach in that He know each one of us, and we can turn to Him in any situation. Like the coaches want the players to get to know them, God really wants us to get to know Him. We talked a lot about what the Bible tells us about God. He is really big, He is perfect, loving, forgiving and He knows everything about each of us even before we do it and that's a really great thing!
We all worked on memorizing a verse from the Bible: Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.
