Senior Adult Luau

Senior Adult Ministries
Called - The Autumn Fellowship

Our family life center was filled with excitement as well as Senior Adults on Tues, 5/19 for our 3rd annual Hawaiian Luau. A great meal is always provided for the seniors.

Pastor Terry Zerby (in his bright, white Hawaiian suite) treated the crowd of 140 people with a musical/message encouraging each one with the truths that God Reigns, God Loves, God Cares and God Provides.
From September through May on the third Tuesday these monthly Buffets are provided for touching the lives of the local seniors. Our Mission is to help Senior Adults to find and follow Christ to a faithful finish.

Motorcycle Tour

Parma Heights Baptist Church sponsored its first motorcycle tour of the year to Amish Country in Berlin, Ohio. Twenty weather-resistant enthusiasts took off knowing they were in for a rainy adventure. Riders enjoyed a buffet lunch at Farmstead Restaurant and took the rest of the afternoon off in small groups at leisure.

PHBC's next ride will take place on June 27th from the Church at 9:00 a.m. for a lighthouse tour in Sandusky and Vermilion. We are planning a lunch in Marblehead, OH. We will be taking all the country roads catching all the scenery as we go. So, mark the dates on your calendar and invite friends and family to join in on the fun and fellowship.

A God Moment

A few days ago my wife and I carved out an afternoon to hike around "The Ledges" at Cuyahoga National Park, which is about 20 minutes from our home. It was one of those perfect days - 75 degrees, sunny and no wind. As we walked we just couldn't believe the beauty, the formations, all the bright green colors. Every corner we turned, I had to stop and try and capture just glimpse of God's beauty with my camera. All of this made through God's creativity. It was amazing. The moment led us to talk about creation and the evidence we witnessed of a divine plan. God made this. God was here. God is here. It was one of those worship without music moments!

There is a song we sing on Sunday mornings in worship by Lincoln Brewster that is simply called, "Majestic". I think this may have been one of those scenes Lincoln was referring to as he wrote the song.

"Majestic" By Lincoln Brewster
Oh Lord, Our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth. The heavens declare Your greatness. The oceans cry out to You. The mountains, they bow down before You. So I'll join with the earth and I'll sing...The heavens declare Your greatness. The oceans cry out to You. The mountains, they bow down before You. So I'll join with the earth and I'll give my praise to You....I will worship You!
